The LCO is a friendly, inclusive, stress-free paragliding cross country competition, our emphasis is on safe, challenging yet achievable tasks, specifically for 3 levels of pilot, from top gun in the “A” comp, to performance level in the “B” comp, and including coaching post CP pilots in the “Coaching Group”.

The event is aimed at competent and self reliant pilots not yet necessarily established on the competition circuit. Above all, the LCO will be fun and educational ! The event will include briefings, de-briefings, and prizes, as well as great flying in this fantastic area.

We would like all the pilots to have a tracking systems registered with us. So if you have a system you can key in the link on the online registration, or you can let us know you want one, and we will try and provide one for the duration comp.

We are also using “Telegram” for our retrieve communication, as well as radio’s and phone lines. So please ensure you have the app on your phones.

The fee of  £40 includes : Competition entry and Charity Donation.

The prize giving will be on the Saturday night at the Buttermere Bash. Pilots will need to pay for the entry to the Bash when you arrive on site.

The LCO is organised by volunteers and runs alongside the Buttermere bash event. For ease of retrieve and communications the HQ of the LCO is based at the Flight Park, and the social side, show events, and camping, is based at the traditional, stunning Buttermere bash location.
